Jamaica, NY| Junior Morgan Tiska recorded a game-high 10 kills as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team dominated York College, 3-0, in a non-conference affair on the road on Wednesday evening.

With the win the Golden Eagles move to 4-8 (1-1 Skyline) on the season as York falls to 2-12.

SJC stormed out of the gate in set one, tallying 19 of the first 23 points before cruising to a 25-8 win. Set two played much like the first with the Golden Eagles jumping out to a 14-5 lead en route to a 25-10 victory.

Set three was much tighter and saw the hosts build their largest lead of the match (11-9) midway through the frame, but the Golden Eagles scooped up 16 of the final 24 points to claim the set 15-19 and the match 3-0.

Tiska's 10 kills were her third-highest total of the season and accounted for nearly one-third of SJC's total kills (31). Senior Erin Kelly's went for five kills and junior Jessica Monteserrato dished out a game-best 15 assists.

Freshman Jessica Nicholson served up four service aces.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, September 30 when they head to Mahwah, NJ to take part in the Ramapo College Tournament. They'll face Alfred St. at 5:00 PM before playing Ramapo (11:00 AM) and Neumann (1:00 PM) on Saturday. Live stats for all matches can be found here.
