Women's Volleyball Sweeps Mt. St. Mary, 3-0

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 Skyline Conference sweep over Mt. St. Mary College at the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles even out at 10-10 on the season with a 5-1 Skyline record. The Knights drop to 8-16 overall, 2-5 Skyline.

St. Joseph's earned 25-20 wins in sets one and two before completing the sweep with a 25-18 win in set three.

Junior Jessica Young led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills and a .368 hitting percentage. Sophomore Amanda Goldstein also finished with 10 kills and freshman Lauren Harmer rounded out the top scorers with eight kills.

Junior setter Brionna Silva recorded a double-double of 29 assists and 11 digs. Senior libero Danielle Senecal finished with a match-high 19 digs.

The Knights were led by Grace Riddle with 12 and three service aces. Setter Emily Mazzurco dished 14 assists and libero Alyssa Barbara scooped up 14 digs.

SJC returns to the Danzi Center when they host the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Monday, October 21. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
