Women's Volleyball Falls to Ramapo

Mahwah, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest 3-1 at Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams move to 1-4 on the season.

The Roadrunners needed extra points to take the opening frame 27-25. SJC bounced back with a 25-18 win in set two, but Ramapo went on to take sets three, 25-13, and four, 25-21, and capture the win.

SJC's Kayla Martin led all players with 13 kills and completed the double-double with 14 digs. Amanda Goldstein finished in double figures with 11 kills.

Setter Veronica Miessmer dished 36 assists with libero April Sexton scooping up 19 digs.

Ashley Pichardo and Caleigh Golabek led the Roadrunners with nine kills apiece. Setter Alexandra Sacchinelli finished with 21 assists with Emma Moran recording 16 digs.

The Golden Eagles open Skyline Conference play on Wednesday, September 21 when they host SUNY Old Westbury at 7:00 PM.
