Women's Volleyball Starts Skyline Schedule with Sweep

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team began Skyline Conference play with a 3-0 sweep over SUNY Old Westbury in the Danzi Center on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 2-4 on the season, 1-0 in conference play. The Panthers slide to 1-3 overall, 0-1 Skyline.

SJC opened the match with a 25-17 win in the first frame and went on to take set two 25-14 before securing the victory with a 25-6 win in set three.

Senior Amanda Goldstein led the Golden Eagles with a match-best 11 kills. Setter Tara Langford dished 25 assists with libero Kayla Martin picking up a game-best 11 digs.

OW had three Panther finish with a pair of kills with setter Ally Parker tossing six assists. Libero Mariam Caraza finished with five digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, September 23 when they travel to face Albertus Magnus at 7:00 pm.
