Women's Volleyball Falls to Baruch, Beats Yeshiva

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest to Baruch College 3-0 before sweeping Yeshiva University 3-0.

Baruch 3, SJCLI 0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-22)

Amanda Goldstein and Kaitlynn D'Angelo led the Golden Eagles with eight kills apiece with the latter finishing with 10 digs. Lauren Harmer pitched in with five kills and a .444 hitting percentage. Setter Veronica Miessmer recorded 17 assists with libero Kellianne Dempsey scooping up 11 digs.

Sarah Chung led the Bearcats with a double-double of 14 kills and 14 digs and Ada Cao added 12 kills. Setter Amina Muminovic dished 25 assists with Sofia Tam picking up 11 digs.

SJCLI 3, YU 0 (25-8, 25-8, 25-9)

D'Angelo led the Golden Eagles with nine kills while hitting at a .571 clip. Goldstein finished with eight kills and three blocks. Miessmer tossed 15 assists with Kayla Maritn recording 10 digs.

Rebekah Bargraser led the Maccabees with four kills and a service ace. Setter Keren Raskin recorded nine assists with Shira Sredni pitching in with nine digs.

St. Joseph's continues Skyline action on Tuesday, October 19 when they travel to take on SUNY Purchase at 7:00 PM.
