Women's Volleyball Skyline Championship Tournament is Set

NEW YORK| There's a twist to the six-team field that is now set for the 2023 Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Championship.
New for this year in conference, the highest seed in the field – No. 1 Manhattanville – will host the semifinals and final of this week's championship.

The Valiants went a perfect 11-0 in Skyline play to secure the top seed. The next three teams in the seeding not only competed admirably for the No. 2 spot but challenged Manhattanville throughout the fall. St. Joseph's-Long Island, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Farmingdale State finished the regular season at 9-2 in conference, tying for the second seed. The three-team tiebreaker went to the Golden Eagles. In the process, St. Joseph's-LI earned the other first-round bye.
USMMA is third. Farmingdale State is fourth. The two will now host opening-round matches tomorrow, with the former hosting No. 6 Mount Saint Mary at 7 p.m. and the latter taking on No. 5 Sarah Lawrence.
No. 2 St. Joseph-LI awaits the winner of No. 3/No. 6, while defending champion Manhattanville will take on the winner of the No. 4/No. 5 matchup. Both semifinals are set for Thursday, with the Golden Eagles hosting at 5 p.m. and the Valiants welcoming their opponent at 7:30 p.m.
The final between the two semifinal winners will take place on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Manhattanville at 2 p.m. The winner of the championship will receive the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.

SLC/FSC Winner vs. No. 1 Manhattanville @ 7:30 p.m. @Manhattanville (Highest Seed of the Field)
