Equestrian Grabs First in Season-Opening Show
Yaphank, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) equestrian team hosted its first show of the season on October 4 at their home field, Good Shepherd Farm. After an incredible day of riding from the entire team, they finished with 36 points overall, coming in first place and earning the title of High Point Team Champions.
New York University came in second as Reserve High Point Team with 28 points and Columbia University trailing behind them with 27 points. Not only did the team have an outstanding day, but they also had five riders qualify for regionals in addition to reaching a total of 36 points or more in their respective classes.
Finally, in a ride off between SJC's Melissa Mausser and Columbia rider Iris Querenet, our very own Golden Eagle won and gained the title of High Point Rider.
