Dolphins Dive Ahead Early and Eagles Can't Swim Back into Game

Patchogue, N.Y. - St. Joseph's-LI (3-10, 2-4 Skyline) fell behind Mt. St. Vincent (3-12, 1-7 Skyline) early as the Dolphins opened up the game on a 17-4 run and the Golden Eagles were never able to get their feet under them on their way to a 82-58 Skyline Conference defeat.

St. Joseph's Andy Laurent led SJC with 15 points in a losing effort.  Sean McCarthy added 14 points. Nick Gallina was the game's top rebounder with 11.

Brandon Serrano led all scorers for Mt. St. Vincent with 25 points and ten rebounds.  Antonio Johnson scored 18 for the Dolphins.

SJC trailed 36-19 at halftime.  The Eagles cut the lead to twelve in the beginning of the second half but Mt. St. Vincent sprinted out ahead from the point and never looked back.

St. Joseph's will travel to Maritime on Monday for a Skyline game at 7:00 p.m.
