2015 Boys and Girls Basketball Camp

The St. Joseph's College Basketball Camp will provide each camper with an opportunity to learn the skills and techniques needed to be a successful basketball player. The sessions will focus on the fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, dribbling, passing, defense and rebounding. The coaches will also teach the campers how to become team-oriented, well-rounded basketball players. It is our goal that this camp will be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for players of all levels.

Facilities

Each camper will have an opportunity the learn and compete in the John A. Danzi Athletic Center. The indoor gym contains a college-size basketball court with multiple baskets as well as a built-in elevated track that will be utilized for strength and conditioning. Campers will rotate between drills, competition, lectures and games.

Head Men's Basketball Coach, St Joseph's College

Entering his second season, Coach Spann was hired to establish the Golden Eagles as a Skyline Conference contender. Under his leadership, the men's program was able to achieve a 13-5 record, and appear in the conference championship. The Golden Eagles led the conference in defense, as well as three-point shooting, and had three players garner all-conference accolades. Coach Spann has competed at the Division I and II level, winning two conference championships and an NCAA Regional Championship, while boasting 1,000 points in his collegiate career.

Led by camp director Coach Spann, the current St. Josephs College women's and men's players — along with other coaches from the region — will provide teaching and coaching tailored to your child’s age and experience. Also, a number of guests will join us to give special instruction, demonstrations and motivational talks. We are confident that your child will not only improve his basketball skills, but will also make memories that will last a lifetime.
