
Abreu Named Skyline Player of the Week
New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, and amongst the winners was graduate student Hermes Abreu of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team who was named Player of the Week.
Additionally, freshman Charles Aurandt was named to the baseball Weekly Honor Roll.
Hermes Abreu (Grad.) - Baseball Player of the Week
Abreu led the Golden Eagles with a .700 batting average after going 7-for-10 with three doubles and a triple. The catcher finished with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage while scoring two runs and knocking in five RBIs. The Bay Shore, NY native went 4-for-4 in a win over Old Westbury with three doubles and a triple while scoring two runs and recording four RBIs.
Charles Aurandt (Fr.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll
Aurandt tossed a complete-game shutout in his only appearance of the week allowing just two hits while striking out three against Farmingdale St.
