Equestrian Wins Show, Only Ten Points Behind Stony Brook for First
Medford, N.Y. - The St. Joseph's equestrian team now stands just ten points behind first place-Stony Brook University as they were the high point team of the day at a show hosted by Suffolk Community College and Dowling College at Country Farms. Only one show remains on the Region 4 schedule with SJC nipping at the Seawolves heels.
The following are the individual results from the show:
- Taylor Anderson came in first in Open Flat and first in Open Fences. She participated in a ride-off and won High Point Rider of the Day.
- Alyssa Hauser - second place- Walk/Trot/Canter
- Brittany Hoffman - second place - Novice Flat
- Kristina Koehler - fourth place - Novice Flat, first place - Novice Fences.
- Taylor Little - first place - Open Flat, sixth place - Intermediate Fences
- Juliann LoVerde - third place - Novice Fences
- Melissa Mausser - sixth place - Novice Fences
- Michelle Nevola - fifth place - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Maclain Palumbo – fourth place - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Stephanie Rekowicz - second place - Intermediate Flat
- Cassie Scofield - third place - Open Flat, first place - Intermediate Fences
- Kaitlyn Kirchner rode well but did not place
