Men's Golf Finishes Third at SJC Invitational
Bellport, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team finished third in a field of cour competing teams at the SJC Spring Invitational at Bellport Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Eagles were second after day one with a score of 356 but dropped to third place on Saturday with a day-two score of 347. With a total score of 703, SJC trailed second-place Manhattanville by three strokes and first-place Adelphi by 70.
Leading the way for SJC was Gavin Melandro, who shot a 167 (+25) and tied for ninth place.
Patrick Diecidue (+29) took 11th place and Ryan Kayton (+36) tied for 13th.
Rounding out the SJC five was Conor Conzone (+42) and Joseph Clarkin (+60) in 16th and 21st places, respectively.
Adelphi's Alec Ramos (+13) placed first with a two-day score of 155.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, April 25, when they compete at the The Powelston Club.
