Golf Takes Second at Skyline Tri-Match

Riverhead, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team finished second, behind Mount St. Mary College and ahead of SUNY Old Westbury, at a Skyline Conference tri-match at Cherry Creek Links on Friday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles posted a score of 334 and finished six strokes behind the Knights and 28 strokes ahead of the Panthers.

Senior Patrick Standard led SJC with a score of 79 and finished in second place, one stroke behind leader Patrick Shea (78) of Mount St. Mary.

Sophomore Joseph Tantillo (84) finished in fifth place, senior Andrew Maiorca (85) was sixth, and freshman Patrick Diecidue (86) finished tied for seventh.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, October 21 when they host the Skyline Conference Championships at Baiting Hollow Golf Club in Calverton, NY.
