Brust Collects All-ECAC Accolades
Danbury, CT| Senior goalie Andrew Brust of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's lacrosse team collected All-ECAC honors when the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association released its end-of-season awards on June 7.
Brust was recently included in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention on May 26 and participated in the USILA's Division III Senior All-Star Game at Providence College on May 27.
Brust was named Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Year on May 9 after the goaltender finished second in the conference in save percentage, third in saves-per-game, and fourth in total saves and goals-against average.
The two-time All-American posted a career- and conference-best 27 saves against Kean on April 6 and ranked 16th in the nation in save percentage. He became the first goalie in program history to score a goal in a 14-8 win at Sage on March 19.
Brust and the Golden Eagles were defeated, 17-13, by top-seeded and eventual champion SUNY Maritime in the Skyline Conference semifinal on May 4.
