Kings Park, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) cross country team hosted the 18th Annual St. Joseph's College Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, NY on Saturday afternoon.

The women's team earned a third place finish in a field of 18 teams that competed in the 5k race.

Five-time Skyline Conference Runner of the Week Erin MacDonell finished in third place with a time of  20:21.3 and, among Skyline competitors, was bested by only Farmingdale's Erin Lettieri.

Freshman Meagan Haviland finished ninth (20:55.7) and was the highest-placing Skyline rookie.

Because only four members of the men's team finished the race, SJC did not place in the team standings. Despite that, senior James Dachille was the highest-placing Skyline runner and turned in a time of 28:25.3 in the 8k race.

Junior Ryan Haun took 15th place (28:42.6) and sophomore Nick DeLuca finished 25th (29:27.6).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, October 29 when they compete at the Skyline Conference Championships hosted by SUNY Purchase. The women's race begins at 11:00 am and the men kick-off at 12:00 pm.
