Men's Golf Takes Second at Farmingdale Invitational

Bethpage, N.Y. - Despite the severe weather conditions of strong winds and teaming rain at Bethpage State Park, the St Joseph's College men's golf team placed second in the Farmingdale State College Skyline Invitational.  The team posted a score of 310 which is a mere two strokes above the team record of 308 for a single round tournament.

The Golden Eagles were led once again by freshman Christian Bleck (75) - with fine supporting scores by fellow freshman Robert Bray (76), junior Keith Zorn (79) and freshman Zac Campanelli (80).  Team captain Sean Sanders posted a 91.

"The 76 shot by Robbie Bray was his first sub-80 round in competition - and certainly will not be his last," said head coach George Cangero.

The team will travel on Saturday to the Sage Colleges Invitational Tournament which will be held at the Sycamore CC in Ravena, N.Y.
