Golden Eagles Finish Second In Farmingdale State College Invitational

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The St. Joseph's Golden Eagles tied a school record on Friday with a score of 308. This record was previously held by the NCAA tournament and Skyline Championship team of 2007-2008. The Eagles finished second behind hosts Farmingdale State who posted a score of 295.

Christian Bleck (St. James, N.Y./Chaminade) finished the day two over par with a score of 72, just four strokes behind the leader Adam Larkin of Farmingdale State. Zac Campanelli (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) finished sixth with 76, the best score of his collegiate career. Robbie Bray (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) and freshman John Melandro (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) each finished tied for tenth with a score of 80. Timothy Erath (Amityville, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) ended the day with an 85.

The Golden Eagles will compete at the Mount St. Mary Tournament at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y. this Friday and then travel to Utica for the Hamilton College Invitational at Valley View Country Club, October 5-6.
