Josiah Hoshyla Leaps to Program-Best in Lions Invitational

Ewing, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's and women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Lions invitational on Saturday, April 30 which was hosted by The College of New Jersey Lions.

Josiah Hoshyla jumped himself in the ECAC Championships, setting a new program record with a 4.50 meter jump in the pole vault, making him the first-ever field person to qualify for ECAC's.

Chris Maher broke the school record once more in the discus with a 36.23-meter launch.

Jessica Pierno broke another school record on the women's side tossing the shot put a distance 10.15 meters.

Head Coach Matt Perry and his team look to make a strong impact at the NJAC Championships on May 7 at 12:00 PM, which will be hosted by Stockton University in Galloway, NJ.
