Volleyball's Heather Ferchland Named to ECAC Metro/Upstate All-Star Team
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2014 Division III Metro/Upstate Women's Volleyball All-Star teams on Wednesday and Heather Ferchland (Selden, N.Y./Centereach) of St. Joseph's College has been named to the Second Team. Representatives at ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate member institutions completed the voting.
Ferchland, a middle hitter for the Golden Eagles, was previously named 2014 Skyline Conference Player of the Year and to the All-Skyline Conference First Team. In addition, she was named ECAC DIII Metro/Upstate Player of the Week on 9/21/14 and a Skyline Conference Player of the Week on four occasions this past season.
The junior led the team with 371 kills, 3.44 kills per set, a .373 hitting percentage and 48 blocks.
