Equestrians Wins Second-Straight Regional Championship

Selden, NY| The last show of the season was an opportunity for the Golden Eagles equestrian team to retain their Zone 2 Region 4 championship. This show was hosted by the Alumni Association at Olde Towne Equestrian Center—Stony Brook's home barn. 

SJC had numerous riders who achieved first place in their classes including Sr. Alyssa Converse in Open Fences, Jr. Leah Uliano in Open Flat, Sr. Melissa Mausser in Intermediate Fences, and Fr. Nicole Scotto in Novice Flat. 

The strong performances from the entire team saw the Golden Eagles win high point team for the day with 38 points and secure their title of Regional Champions for the second year in a row with a yearly total of 286 points. Stony Brook won the title of Regional Reserve Champions with 259 points.

SJC will compete at Zones again this year on April 9th.
