Farmingdale, NY - Farmingdale State holds a two-shot lead over The Sage Colleges after the opening round of the 2011 Skyline Golf Championship, held on the Red Course of Bethpage State Park. 

The Rams shot a 27-over 307 on the par-70 course, while The Sage Colleges came in at 309.  St. Joseph's-L.I. is in third place at 327, followed by Purchase (348), NYU-Poly (376) and Old Westbury (402).

SJC freshman Sean Sanders is the leader in the clubhouse with a three-over 73, just ahead of senior Chris Arnold (75) of Farmingdale State.  Teammates Dan Schultz and Zach Meade of The Sage Colleges are tied for third place after they each fired a 76.    

The final round of the 2011 Championship commences at 9:00am on Monday, Oct. 24.
