Men's Tennis Edges Pratt for First Win
Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team secured its first win of the 2022 season with a 5-4 decision against Pratt on Saturday afternoon.
The win sees the Golden Eagles move to 1-6 overall on the year as Pratt drops to 3-3.
The second doubles team of William Vita and Gordon Shouler posted an 8-0 win while Tyler Brock and Haley Celona earned an 8-3 victory at third doubles.
Up 2-1 after doubles play, SJC secured wins fourth, fifth, and sixth singles. Dylan Trude was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at fourth singles, Shouler a 6-1, 6-2 winner at fifth singles, and Brock a 6-0, 2-6, 1-0 winner at sixth singles.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, April 18, when they host Purchase for a Skyline Conference contest at 5:30 pm.
