Men's Golf Tees Off at the NCAA Championship Tournament

Patchogue, NY| Head Coach George Cangero along with five member of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) golf team will head up and travel to Rochester, NY for the NCAA Championship Tournament which will begin on Tuesday May 10.

Leading the team is senior Zac Campanelli, who has participated in seven tournaments this year, with his best finish coming at the Orange County National Golf Center early in March. Campanelli finished in second place in the Golden Eagles 310-317 loss to Luther College. The senior captain concluded the regular season at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship with a top-10 finish (82,81) at the Bellport Country Club.

Robbie Bray has appeared in eight tournaments for the Golden Eagles this season. Bray posted a 73 which was the best competitive round in his four years at SJC. 

Christian Bleck, who was named to the 2015 All-Skyline First Team in the Skyline Championship, who shot 77's on days for a combined second-place scored of 154 (+14)

John Melandro has played in three tournaments this year including the Skyline Conference Championship where he was named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Vinny Garofalo will round out the tournament for the Golden Eagles appearing in three tournaments this year including the Farmingdale State College Skyline Invitational where he finished in sixth place.

The Golden Eagles will look to have a strong showing as they will tee off today on Tuesday, May 10 and tomorrow May 11.
