Patchogue, NY| For the first time in department history, St. Joseph's College (L.I.) has earned six NCAA Tournament appearances following the baseball team's first Skyline Conference title and automatic tournament bid since 2004 on Tuesday evening.

Baseball, who enters the tournament with a 24-10 record, follows in the footsteps of women's lacrosse, men's golf, women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country, who all earned NCAA bids this academic year.

Women's lacrosse won its second-consecutive Skyline championship with a 12-9 victory over Farmingdale State on Saturday afternoon and looks to build off its NCAA second-round appearance in 2015 when it opens play in the tournament this weekend.

Currently, men's golf is competing in the Division III Tournament at the Midvale and Mendon Golf Clubs in Rochester, NY. Led by 15-year head coach George Cangero, the team claimed its first conference title since 2007 back in the fall.

Three weeks after golf sealed its tournament bid, women's soccer edged Mount St. Mary College in the Skyline final to earn the program's first-ever conference championship and NCAA appearance. The Golden Eagles suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Swarthmore College in the first round.

Perennial NCAA Regional competitors men's and women's cross country had strong showings at the 2015 event held at Letchworth State Park in Castile, NY, as the men placed 30th out of 41 teams and the women 25th in a field of 37.
