Patchogue, NY| In his 12th season as head coach of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team, Glenn Nathan aims to guide his team back into the Skyline Conference playoffs for the first time since the 2014 seasons.

Although Nathan returns only two players from last year's team (3-9 overall, 2-5 Skyline) in junior Matt Dioguardo and sophomore Peter Rasmussen, the duo proved to be SJC's top singles competitors, posting 5-5 and 4-6 records, respectively.

Rasmussen went 3-4 at #1 singles a year ago, while Dioguardo was 2-1 at #2 singles and 3-4 at #3 singles in a campaign that saw him earn Skyline All-Conference Second-Team honors. Paired together, Dioguardo and Rasmussen went 2-1 at #1 doubles in 2016.

Expected to round out the team's top four will be Suffolk County CC transfer Kevin Lankowicz and junior Tyler Yaskanich.

Additional recruits include SJC men's soccer team members Kyle Conway (So.), Avery Gomez (Sr.) and Cody Puglisi (Sr.).

Back on February 21 the Skyline Conference released the results of its Preseason Coaches Poll, which saw the Golden Eagles finish seventh out of nine teams.
