W. Basketball's Iavarone Repeats as ECAC Metro Rookie of the Week

Danbury, Conn. – Freshman women's basketball forward Andrea Iavarone (Miller Place, N.Y./ Miller Place) has been awarded the Corvais ECAC Division III Metro Rookie of the Week award for the second consecutive period – this time for the week ending February 22.

In St. Joseph's game on February 17, she posted a team-high of 12 points and 11 rebounds after starting and playing a total of 33 minutes.  Her presence was equally as noted in the Golden Eagles win against Mt. St. Mary the following Saturday. The rookie forward scored another team-high of 14 points, leading the team to a 48-44 victory.

Iavarone was also named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.
