Eagles Land in Second Place After Stony Brook Show
Selden, N.Y. - The St. Joseph's equestrian team competed at their final regular season show hosted by Stony Brook University at the Olde Towne Equestrian Center and finished sixth for the day. The Golden Eagle riders ended the season in second place in Zone 2, Region 4 – earning them the title of Reserve Champion. Stony Brook finished in first place for the season.
Individual performances were as follows:
- Taylor Anderson – 5th - Open Fences
- Alyssa Hauser – 4th - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Brittany Hoffman – 2nd - Novice Flat
- Kristina Koehler – 1st - Novice Flat, 6th - Novice Fences.
- Taylor Little - 2nd - Open Flat, 4th - Intermediate Fences
- Juliann LoVerde - 5th - Novice Flat.
- Michelle Nevola – 3rd - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Maclain Palumbo – 6th - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Cassie Scofield – 3rd - Intermediate Fences
- Kevin Shaw – 3rd - Walk/Trot/Canter
- Nicole Speizio – 2nd - Walk/Trot/Canter.
The Eagles will next compete at the Region 4 Regional Championships at the Bergen Equestrian Center in Bergen, New Jersey on March 24.
