Press Release from the Skyline Conference

New York, NY - In the 2012 Skyline Conference Pre-Season Men's Tennis Coaches' Poll, defending champion Farmingdale State was picked as the favorite to win the league, receiving four first-place votes.

Farmingdale State will look to follow up a championship season with another solid year, led by 2011 Rookie of the Year and Tournament MVP, Christian Bormann. Last year, the Rams crafted a perfect 7-0 mark in the league and 12-2 overall.

Second in the poll is St. Josephs-L.I., led by the dynamic duo of second-team all-conference teammates Matt Reed and Brian Heinlein, who are both sophomores. Heinlein's older brother, Shaun, will also be returning for the Golden Eagles for his junior season.

Mount Saint Mary, which finished 6-1 in Skyline play last year, returns sophomores Greg Jacob and Stat Willand, who were first and second team all-league picks, respectively. Purchase, NYU-Poly, Yeshiva, and Sage round out the poll.
