Eagles Top Gators, 9-0, in Skyline Action

Albany, N.Y. - The Golden Eagles tallied a 9-0 win over the Sage Gators to improve to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Skyline Conference, while Sage falls to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the league.

SJC's senior Ken Kadar (Coram, N.Y./Newfield) tallied a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles as he beat Sage's senior Alex Cabrera (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston).  Kadar teamed at No. 1 doubles with sophomore Matt Reed (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford) for the 8-3 win over Cabrera and Rob Hansen (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna).

Reed topped Hansen at second singles, 6-2, 6-2. Sophomore Adam Friel (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) defeated senior Dylan Spring (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) in a tight match at third singles, 6-4, 6-2. The Golden Eagles' Brian Hicks (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), Ralph Gallo (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) and Denzil Charles (Central Islip, N.Y./Central Islip) all took their singles matches in easy fashion.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, April 2 when they travel to Rutgers-Newark for a non-conference match.
