Men’s Tennis Falls to Sarah Lawrence in Season Finale

Patchogue, NY| After two rain delays and three days of scattered action, the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team was defeated, 6-3, by Sarah Lawrence College in its final match of the 2019 season on Saturday evening.

Play began on Tuesday, April 23 but was suspended due to rain. After another weather suspension on April 25, the match was completed in Patchogue, NY on Saturday.

SJC's third doubles pairing of William Vita and Vincent Spano posted an 8-6 victory in what would be the Golden Eagles' only doubles victory in the contest.

Ryan Freeley edged his opponent 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a three-set first-singles victory and Spano stormed to a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles.  

St. Joseph's finishes the year with a 4-8 overall record and a 1-6 mark in Skyline Conference play.
