Carroll, Credidio and Gagliardi Nab Skyline All-Conference Honors

Skyline Release

Written by Andrew Capitelli (SJC-LI Sports Information)

New York, NY| Senior Kristin Carroll, freshman Carly Credidio and sophomore Christina Gagliardi of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team were included on Skyline All-Conference teams upon their release on the conference's website on Monday afternoon.

Appearing on the First-Team were Gagliardi and Carroll who finished first and second on the team, respectively, in goals and points. Gagliardi, a Second-Team selection a year ago, scored 19 times, setting a new single-season program record, and finished third in the conference in total goals.

At the conclusion of the season, Gagliardi ranked second all-time in career points in SJC history (62)—only three behind all-time leader Angie Merante (65), who played form 2007 to 2009.

Carroll produced career-high numbers in total goals (9) and points (22) in 2017 to earn her first-ever All-Conference selection. A veteran of 66 career matches, Carroll graduates third all-time in goals (20) and fourth in points (52) and assists (12).

In a stellar freshman showing, Credidio finished third on the team in points (21) and was tied with Carroll for second with nine goals. Bested only by Gagliardi (4), Credidio tallied three game-winning goals and boasted a .321 shooting percentage.

After posting a 6-3 conference mark during the regular season, the Golden Eagles (11-7-1) entered the Skyline Conference Championship as the fourth seed and played top-seeded Mt. St. Mary to a scoreless draw in the semifinals, but were eliminated 3-2 on penalty kicks.
