In the first ten minutes of action, SJLI's James Dacos led a counter-attack when he found Pensavalle who would later play a through ball to the right side where Mariani was able to put it away in the upper right-hand corner of the goal

Late into the first half, Pensavalle looked to build upon the lead when the forward found space for a chance but was turned away by the keeper

The Golden Eagles would add to their lead in the 73rd minute when Pelaez assisted Mariani for his second of the game and secured the 2-0 victory
