The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's soccer team falls to Yeshiva University for their first loss of the season

• Sophomore Nick Pensavalle led the Golden Eagles recording one goal and one assist

• Junior Daniel Dacos scored the first goal of the match

• Junior Giuseppe Vitale had match-high eight saves 

• Vinicius Giannacini of Yeshiva tallied a game-high two goals, to go along with one assist 

• The Maccabees Josh Ziarno finished the game with one goal and one assist

How it happened

• St. Joseph's opened up the scoring column with a goal in the 35th minute where Dacos put one high and center just out of the goalkeepers reach, courtesy of Pensavalle and Sonny Farell 

• The Golden Eagles built on their lead in the 56th minute where Pensavalle capitalized on a penalty kick taking a two goal lead

• Yeshiva didn't go away as Giannacini blasted a shot from the top of the box to cut the lead to just one

• Just seven minutes later the Maccabees would find the back of the net as Ziarno found space in the left side of the box tying the game at two apiece 

• Giannacini would seal the comeback for Yeshiva as his second goal of the game came in the 84th minute giving the Maccabees their first lead of the game and the win

• Yeshiva outshot St. Joseph's 14-5

• The Golden Eagles had three corners compared to the Maccabees seven

• Nine yellow cards were given out in the match

• One red card was issued
