Men's Golf Participates in Old Westbury Invitational
East Meadow, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team finished fifth in a field of six competing teams at the Old Westbury Invitational held at Eisenhower Park on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles posted a team score of 357, which was 69 strokes over par and 33 strokes off first-place Farmingdale State.
Leading the way for SJC was Joseph Tantillo, who shot an 85 (+13) and finished tied for 11th place.
Ryan Kayon shot an 88 (+16) to finish tied for 13th, and Gavin Melandro was one stroke behind (89) in 15th place.
Rounding out the SJC scorers were Patrick Diecidue (95, +23) and Jonathan Eckert (97, +25), who finished 22nd, and 24th, respectively.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, April 23 when they host the St. Joseph's Invitational at Bellport Golf Club at 12:00 pm. On-site spectators are strictly prohibited.
