MacDonell Earns 2nd ECAC Rookie of the Week Honor of the Season

Danbury, Conn.| Erin MacDonell of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's cross country team was selected as ECAC Division III Metro Region Rookie of the Week on Wednesday afternoon, as per the conference's website.

MacDonell was the highest-finishing Division III first-year runner at the St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday afternoon, when she claimed 10 place in a 5k field of 164 runners. The Sayville, NY native's 21:22.7 time helped power the Golden Eagles to a first-place overall finish in the race.

This marks the second time MacDonell has claimed the honor this season

 Both the women's and men's cross country team return to action on Sunday, October 15 when they compete in the Skyline Conference Championships held at Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, NY.
