Ian Sullivan Named to All-NJAC Second Team

PITMAN, NJ --St. Joseph's College freshman Ian Sullivan became the first male Golden Eagle to be named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference team by virtue of his second place (second team) finish in the 60m hurdles.

Rutgers University-Camden junior Matt Curtis was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Athlete for the 2012-13 season. His selection highlighted the 73-member NJAC men's indoor track & field all-conference team which was announced on March 6. All NJAC special awards were determined by a vote of the league's nine head coaches, while the league's all-conference honors were based on performances at the NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championships conducted at the New York Armory on February 22.

Curtis garnered the conference's top men's indoor honor after claiming the NJAC championship in the 400 meters with a winning time of 48.64. He also was a member of the Scarlet Raptors' 4x200 meter relay which placed third in a school-record time of 1:32.66. Curtis also competed on Camden's 4x400 meter relay which placed fourth overall with a time of 3:24.92.

Ramapo College junior Colin English was named the NJAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. He claimed the NJAC championship in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 1:54.61. English also was a member of Ramapo's NJAC runner-up 4x800 meter relay which produced a school-record time of 7:57.79.

The College of New Jersey's senior Steve D'Aiutolo was selected as the NJAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. He claimed the NJAC championship in the triple jump with a winning leap of 14.33 meters. He also placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.66 meters. D'Aiutolo also garnered a sixth place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 50.26.

Ramapo freshman Paul Juelis was selected as the NJAC Men's Indoor Rookie of the Year. He claimed the NJAC crown in the one mile run with a personal-best time of 4:18.18. Juelis also was a member of Ramapo's conference runner-up 4x800 meter relay which produced a school-record time of 7:57.79.

TCNJ head coach Phil Jennings was selected as the NJAC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year by his peers for the fourth consecutive season. Jennings guided the Lions to a first place finish in the 2012-13 NJAC Indoor Championship, marking his team's 16th consecutive conference title. TCNJ remains the only program in the history of the conference to claim the NJAC men's indoor team championship.
