The Ladies Lead the Way for Track & Field at DeShriver Invitational

East Stroudsburg, Pa. - The men's and women's track and field teams travelled to East Stroudsburg University to compete at the DeShriver Invitational and had great success.

The women's 4x800 team of AnnMarie Zigrosser, Lauren Waka, Caitlyn Ryan, and Brittany Guttieri ran to an impressive second place finish losing out to host ESU. 

AnnMarie Zigrosser finished her day as she finished with a season best 10:58.71 in the 3000m and a third place finish. 

Brittany Guttieri also placed third in the Mile with a time of 5:32.01.  Caitlyn Ryan came from the second heat to place fifth in a time of 5:38.13. 

The women's 4x400m team of Kristina Schrepf, Samantha Maurice, Siobhan O'Gorman, and Mary Cirpriano finished their day by shattering the school record by ten seconds. 

Kristina Shcrepf came from the second heat to place 6th in the Women's 500m. 

On the men's side, Brian Wersan placed second in the men's Mile with a time of 4:31.73 missing the school record by .5 seconds. 

The team next competes at the CTC Championships at Wesleyan University on Saturday.
