Five Eagles Break SJC Records at TCNJ Invitational

Ewing, N.J. - The St. Joseph's College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the College of New Jersey Invitational this weekend and posted many personal and team bests.

Women's Highlights
Senior Allison Waka (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) broke the 3000m school record with a time of 11:46.23.

Notable Performances
Jennica Josema- 400m- 1:13.89 (Personal Best)
Laeticia Compas- Shotput- 7.93m (Season Best)

Men's Highlights
Junior Scott Saunders (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) took ninth overall in the javelin, tossing a personal best of 44.85m (147-02) breaking his previous school record.

Junior Michael Lombardi (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) broke the 3000m steeple chase record with a time of 10:35.87.

Freshman Michael Sanders (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) competed in the discus, breaking the previous school record with a 107-11 foot throw.

Freshman Robert Johnson (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) broke the 800m school record with a time of 2:02.07.
