Men's Golf Takes Third at Skyline Championship

Farmingdale, NY| Three Golden Eagles were named to the All-Conference team as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team finished in third at the Skyline Conference Championship at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY on Monday afternoon.

After the first round of competition on Sunday, the Rams held a commanding 14-stroke lead over Mount St. Mary's. Farmingdale captured the conference title with a 602 (+42), while the Golden Eagles finished third with a 654(+94).

Leading SJC was Michael Nadeau who shot a 78 and a 72 for a combined third-place score of 150 (+10).  Following Nadeau was Evan Scheuch who finished tied in ninth (163, +23), along with teammate Patrick Standard (163, +23). ,

Rich Kelly would finish the Championship in 20th place with a score of 179 (+39), as Vinny Garofalo finished the weekend with a score of 183 (+43) which was good enough for a 22nd place finish.

Earning First Team, All-Conference honors was Nadeau and Scheuch and Standard garnished Second Team All-Conference honors.
