Men's Golf Places Second at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship

Bellport,NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team come in third place at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship hosted by St. Joseph's College on Friday and Saturday at the Bellport Country Club.

Led by top-10 finished from Michael Nadeau, Patrick Standard, and Brandon Hauser, SJC posted a team score of 640, two stroke behind Adelphi and 18 behind event winner Farmingdale State College. Nassau was fourth with 654 and Suffolk Community College was fifth after recording a score of 684 in the two-day event.

After falling to seventh on Friday with an 80 (+9), Nadeau had the best round across all players with a 71 day as he carded a 151 (+9) to take second place overall.
Standard finished the weekend with a round of 160 (+18), and Hauser complete the top-10 with a 78, 82 (160, +11) score.

Evan Scheuch claimed 15th place after completing the Championship with an 85,84 (169, +27).

Vinny Garofalo was SJC's final scorer with an 86, 91 (177, +35) to take 18th place.
Adelphi's Nick Kelapire won the individual title as he posted a first place score of 74, 73 (147, +5).

The Golden Eagles will travel to Middletown, RI to take on Bentley University at the Newport National Golf Club on Monday, April 17.
