Men’s Golf Defeats Yeshiva, Purchase on Friday
Bellport, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team defeated Yeshiva University and SUNY Purchase in a Skyline Conference tri-match at Bellport Country Club on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles were led by sophomore Joseph Tantillo, who shot a tri-match-best 73, four strokes better than second-place finisher Izak Held of Yeshiva.
Seniors Andrew Maiorca and Patrick Standard shot 82 and 85, respectively, and freshman Patrick Diecidue posted a score of 94. Mariorca and Standard placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, October 12 when they host another Skyline Conference tri-match at Bellport Country Club at 11:00 am.
