Women's Lacrosse Suffers Non-Conference Loss to Albright

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-3 decision to Albright College in a non-conference match-up at Danzi Stadium on Saturday.

The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 0-3 on the season as the Lions improve to 2-6.

Melissa Newman, Jamie Trowbridge, and Hannah King all scored for the Golden Eagles with Chole Herzog and Brooke Zecchini each providing an assist.

Trowbridge added three groundballs and three draw controls for the Golden Eagles. Grace Erny also scooped up three ground balls while causing a team-best three turnovers.

Katelyn Patrick netted a game-best three goals for Albright while five other Lions found the back of the net two times. Chloe Fornoff recorded 12 draw controls while Kyra Lycett grabbed four.

SJC's Jillian Hummel came away with 13 saves in three quarters before giving way to Chloe Anthony. Albright's Caelainn Morrison finished with six saves in her three quarters between the pipes and Jessica Sedor finished with two.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, March 30 when they travel to Ramapo College. Game time is slated for 4:00 pm.
