Women's Lacrosse Land Three on Skyline All-Conference Teams
New York, NY| Three members of the St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's lacrosse team earned Skyline All-Conference honors as announced on Monday morning.
Senior Jillian Hummel took home First-Team honors as juniors Melissa Newman and Jamie Trowbridge landed on the Second-Team.
Additionally, freshman Courtney Donato was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Hummel led the Skyline with a .536 save percentage, which was good for 12th nationally. The goalie finished second in the conference averaging 11.67 saves per game posting a career-best 20 saves against Maritime on 4/1.
Newman led the Golden Eagles attack with 42 points courtesy of a team-high 35 goals and seven assists.
Trowbridge made an immediate impact for the Golden Eagles finishing with 36 points on 28 goals and a team-leading eight assists. The midfielder led the team with 43 draw controls, 30 ground balls, and 29 caused turnovers.
The Golden Eagles entered the Skyline Conference Championship as the fourth seed and were defeated by fifth-seeded Manhattanville, in the quarterfinals.
