Cabanillas Named Swimmer of the Week

New York, NY| Sophomore Alison Cabanillas was named Women's Swimmer of the Week, when the Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Additionally, freshman Ashlyn Williams was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Alison Cabanillas (So.) - Women's Swimmer of the Week

Cabanillas led the Golden Eagles to wins over Mt. St. Mary and SUNY Purchase this week posting a win in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:18.41. The sophomore was also part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay that came in with a time of 1:52.16. Additionally, she also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle.

Ashlyn Williams (Fr.) - Women's Swimming Honor Roll

Williams claimed a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:05:61 which was just 0.3 shy of the SJLI record. The freshman also led off for the winning 200-yard freestyle relay and she finished second in the 100-yard back with a time of 1:90.01.
