Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Skyline Championship

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team earned a fourth place finish at the Skyline Conference Championship held at Bethpage State Park on Sunday and Monday.

Leading the way for the Golden Eagles was Rookie of the Year Joseph Tantillo, who shot 150 (+10) over two days and finished in fourth--eight strokes behind tournament champion Chris Fischer of Farmingdale State.

Tied for ninth was junior Patrick Standard, who, with a two-day score of 161, was 21 strokes over par.

Senior Vinny Garofalo (+28) and junior David Doolin (+35) rounded out the SJC scoring contingent with 16th and 24th-place finishes, respectively.

With their top-five and top-10 finishes, Tantillo (First-Team) and Standard (Second-Team) earned All-Conference honors.

SJC returns to action on Friday, October 27 for the annual Golden Eagle Invitational at Bellport Golf Club in Bellport, NY. Start time TBD.
