Men’s Golf Competes at the NYU Invitational

Bloomfield, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team picked up an 11th-place finish at the NYU Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club, which concluded on Sunday afternoon.

In a competing field of 12 teams, SJC's combined two-day score of 687 was 84 strokes off tournament champion and host, New York University.

Faring best for the Golden Eagles was reigning Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, Joseph Tantillo. The freshman shot a 77 on Sunday to bring his two-day score to 159, which tied him for 17th place in a field of 67.

Junior Patrick Standard shot a 171 and finished tied for 46th, and senior Vincent Garofalo finished in 55th place with a score of 184.

The Golden Eagles return to the links on Saturday, April 14 when they host the St. Joseph's (L.I.) Classic at Bellport Country Club in Bayport, NY.
