Men’s Tennis Extends Win Streak to Three Games with 8-1 Win Over SJC-Brooklyn

Flushing, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team extended its winning streak to three games on Thursday evening with a convincing 8-1 victory over St. Joseph's College (Brkln) at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

With the win the Golden Eagles improve to 3-4 overall and sit in fifth place in the conference standings with a 2-3 Skyline mark. The Bears' loss sends them to 1-9 (0-6 Skyline) on the year.

SJC dominated the doubles competitions, winning 8-4 at first doubles, 8-0 at second doubles and 8-6 at third doubles.

Kevin Lankowicz earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at first singles, while Peter Rasmussen and Matt Dioguardo earned 6-2, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-2 victories at #2 and #4 singles, respectively.

Tyler Yaskanich won a convincing 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Matthew Smith at #3 singles.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, April 28 when they visit the Farmingdale State in a Skyline Conference showdown at 4:00 pm.
