Men's Volleyball Advances to Skyline Final with 3-0 Sweep of Yeshiva

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College men's volleyball team earned a trip to the Skyline Conference Championship game for the first time in program history with a 3-0 win over No. 4 seeded Yeshiva University.

The Golden Eagles improve 22-8 on the season with the Maccabees settling at 4-16.

After taking set one 25-9, St. Joseph's hit at a .667 clip to take the second set 25-3. The Golden Eagles completed the sweep with a 25-9 win in set three.

Kyle Biggers knocked down a match-high 12 kills for an. 846 hitting percentage.  The sophomore also had a hand in four blocks at the net.  David Slager finished with five kills and Jason Siriban pitched in with four kills. Paul Curaro, Will Flohr, Matthew Amberge and Matt Cole all added three kills apiece. Senior setter Tyler Jones dished 19 assists with Dan O'Keefe tossing up 10. 

Jonathan Apsan, Joseph Sulaymanov, and Derek Orenshein led the Maccabees with two kills each. Setter Isaac Pomerance recorded five assists with Chaim Aryeh Rubin picking up three digs.

The top-seeded Golden Eagles will host No. 2 College of Mt. St. Vincent in the Skyline Conference finals on Saturday, April 14 in the Danzi Center. Game time is set for 12:00 pm.
