Johnson Named Rookie of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon, and amongst the winners was freshman Clint Johnson of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team who was named Rookie of the Week.

Additionally, freshman Mark Williams appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Clint Johnson (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Johnson averaged 9.57 assists per set in a 3-0 week for the Golden Eagles. The freshman recorded 16 assists and three aces in the 3-0 victory Yeshiva University on 3/14 while posting 22 assists in the second 3-0 win over YU later in the day.

Earlier in the week, he dished 29 assists with three kills and three aces in a 3-0 season-opening sweep of the Maccabees.

Mark Williams (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
Williams led the men's volleyball team with 24 total kills last week averaging three kills per set. In his SJC debut, the outside hitter finished with nine kills, nine digs, and seven service aces.

Over the weekend, Williams recorded five kills out of five attempts with three aces in the match one win over Yeshiva while posting 10 kills and five aces in the nightcap. 

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline Conference action on Thursday, March 18 when they host New Jersey City University at 7:00 pm.
