Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team suffered an 81-45 Skyline Conference loss to Mt. St. Mary College on Wednesday evening at the Danzi Center.
The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 3-21 on the season with a 2-15 conference mark. The Knights improve to 20-4 overall and remain unbeaten in Skyline play at 17-0.
Alyssa Signor scored a team-best 18 points. The freshman shot 4-for-8 from three, grabbed five rebounds.
Senior N'Dea Maddox finished in double-digits with 12 points and dished out three assists. Sophomore Lindsey McKenna rounded out the top scorers with seven points off the bench.
Mt. St. Mary's Kayla Cleare shot 6-for-12 from the field for a game-best 14 points with eight rebounds and six blocks. Elizabeth Limonta recorded a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards.
Katie Smith and Julia Lavin provided 10 points apiece.
The visitors outshot SJC from the field (48.6% to 308%), as well as outrebounding the Golden Eagles 51-26.
The Golden Eagles wrap up the season on Saturday, February 16 when they host Sarah Lawrence College. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
